I run two separate instances of KeePass portable, each with its own KeePass.exe file and I therefore have two KeePass icons in my System Tray. One KP has a very secure password for financial and personal passwords; the other has an easier to type - but less secure - password for less secure things. I just found a solution for Adobe CS5, and wanted to share. For context, I recently got a laptop with an inbuilt 4K display, and the text/icons in Photoshop were far too small to be usable. The registry hack did not work for me, but I found the below did - not to mention was much simpler.

However, for my CS5 version, I had to go to the Photoshop executable file "Photoshop.exe" inside the Adobe Photoshop CS5 folder you mentioned and right click it to find a "Compatibility" Tab in which I could follow your solution directions. ProcMon is a powerful tool from Microsoft which records live filesystem activity such as process creations and registry changes. This is really handy when used in tandem with Process Hacker as a new process may be created and then quickly killed, this process can then be reviewed in the ProcMon capture. Using the prebuilt filters or process tree an analyst can quickly identify what processes were created, where the executable was run from, and the parent/child dependencies.
A common trick that malware developers will use to trick you into running a computer infection is to send an email attachment that has a file name that contains two periods in it. An example of this type of file name is sales_report.xls.exe. As you can see the file has an .exe extension on it, which means it is an executable. Seeing that a file has this name and is an executable is enough of a hint that you should probably not run the program. On the other hand, what happens if there was a way to make it so that the .exe extension was stripped from the file name so that it appears as sales_reports.xls? That is a much more innocuous looking name, and if you receive this from someone you work with who may be infected, there is a good chance you will think it is legitimate and therefore double-click on it.
